There are significant performance, availability and resilience enhancements in Db2 13 for z/OS. This session will introduce and discuss the major enhancements, and provide insight on the use case and design point for each enhancement. This session will cover the following topics:
• Online removal of active log dataset
• Online migration from PBG UTS to PBR UTS table spaces
• ALTER TABLE DATA CAPTURE concurrency enhancement
• User controls to improve the ability for SQL DDL operations to succeed and/or reduce application service
• RUNSTATS and Page-level Sampling
• Enhancements to Fast Traversal Block (FTB) feature
• Virtual and real memory contraction
• More open datasets

• Reduce number and frequency of DBAT terminations
